The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 20, at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, 575 Country Club Dr. in La Grange, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check-in will begin at 10:45 a.m. with an option to purchase lunch for $20 inclusive, payable by cash or check. A short business meeting will commence at 11:15 a.m. followed by speaker, former state Senator Ms. Konni Burton, CEO of The Texan. The new planter boxes along the courthouse square in La Grange may become a public art installation. At the La Grange City Council meeting on Monday night, March 11, Councilman Ken Taylor asked for an update on the planter boxes.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 will meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall located in Ammannsville. Food and refreshments will be available after the meeting. Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.
