Schulenburg City Hall Moving to New Location

The City of Schulenburg announced that City Hall will move to a temporary location at 605 Upton Ave. “due to unforeseen circumstance and the potential health hazards.”

“City Hall will be moving to a temporary location for the foreseeable future,” City Administrator Tami Walker announced on Wednesday, June 26. “Due to the health and safety concerns of our employees, we have searched for space to accommodate our office staff and convenience for citizens.

“We will be housed at 605 Upton Ave. with Leon John Inc.,” Walker said. “This is the old Lavaca Medical building (next to the Police Department). City Hall will be closed on Friday, June 28 through July 4. We will reopen at 605 Upton on Friday, July 5.”

“Utility payments can still be dropped off in the night drop locations at 535 North Main or walk-ins on July 5th at 605 Upton Ave,” she added. “A grace period will be given to our utility customers until July 22.”
