Mental Health First Aid Workshop Offered

A “Mental Health First Aid for Rural Communities” class is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, April 29 and 30. The sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day at the Bluebonnet Trails Community Services’ Conference Room, 750 W. Travis Street in La Grange. This program is being co-hosted by Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Fayette County.

How Safe Are Our School Buses?

In the aftermath of the tragic school bus crash in Bastrop County last week, lots of folks are wondering whether a seat belt could have saved Ulises Rodriguez Montoya, the five-year-old who died in the wreck. The crash happened around 2 p.m.

City Donates to Upgrade Welding Facilities at LGISD

The La Grange Economic Development Corporation (EDC) approved $55,317 in funding to upgrade welding facilities at La Grange ISD. The La Grange Education Support Foundation requested the financial assistance to improve the high school welding shop.

Two Students Win Trip to D.C.
