Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 12-18.
Animal Complaint
On May 12, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 900 block of Eilers in reference to an animal complaint. Complainant advised her neighbor’s dogs are “humping” each other and she wanted them to stop. Officer Vincent informed complainant that this was not a police issue and it was a natural thing that all animals do. Complainant was not happy that her grandchildren could possibly see it.
OnMay13,AnimalControl Officer Gina Harden received a call from City Hall about a dead deer on the highway.
On May 15, Harden responded to the 700 block of Baumgarten to remove two kittens from the property and transport them to the animal shelter in La Grange.
On May 15, Harden responded to the 1200 block of Kellett to pick up three kittens and transport to the animal shelter in La Grange.
On May 17, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the 500 block of Wolf Street regarding a dog that had been run over.
Agency Assist
On May 14, Krenek was dispatched to the 200 block of Lloyd for an 18-wheeler stuck in the callers yard.
Ambulance Call
On May 16, Vincent was dispatched to the 300 block of Keuper for a fall victim and was advised they would have to kick the door in to make entry into the home. Officer made entry through the garage door and assisted patient, and they denied medical from EMS.
On May 16, Vincent was dispatched to the 65 block of Kessler in reference to an intoxicated subject passed out in the shower and called 911. Subject was transported to the hospital.
Civil Matter
On May 14, Krenek served civil process for a subject in the 1100 block of South Street for truancy.
Disturbance
On May 14, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 500 block of Wolf for a disturbance.
On May 17, Krenek was dispatched to the 500 block of Wolf for a disturbance it was verbal only.
Suspicious Person
Theft
On May 18, Whited was dispatched to Pilot in the 700 block of N. Kessler for a subject in a vehicle leaned back. The subject was resting and stretching his legs due to a prior motorcycle accident.
On May 17, Whited was dispatched to the 300 block of College for a theft report.
On May 17, Krenek received a call from Pilot of a theft of two salads. The suspect was caught on video stealing the salads and walking past all points of check out registers. The suspect exited the store without any attempt to pay for the salads. Suspect was identified by past contacts. A theft citation and criminal trespass will be completed upon receipt of the video.
Traffic Stop
On May 13, Krenek stopped a driver in the 200 block of Heinrich for a vehicle with an expired registration. Driver was issued a citation.
On May 13, Krenek stopped a vehicle for a defective tail lamp in the 700 block of Anderson. Driver was issued a warning.
On May 14, Krenek stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver was issued a citation.
On May 16, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued due to computer not working.
On May 16, Vincent stopped a driver in the 400 block of Bucek for speeding. A warning was issued due to computer issues.
