E Shared Lutheran Ministry Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m.

During 2024, Fayette County Floodplain Manager approved 242 Development Permits. Of those 190 Residential (34 in Precinct 1, 58 in Precinct 2, 51 in Precinct 3, and 47 in Precinct 4), 38 Non-Residential (eight in Precinct 1, 13 in Precinct 2, 12 in Precinct 3, and five in Precinct 4) and 14 Oil and Gas (three in Precinct 1, six in Precinct 2, and five in Precinct 3) for a total of $9,200.00.

During the Christmas shopping season, The Fayette County Record held it’s Eat. Shop. Play. contest. A way to enter and win in the contest was to purchase items at any of the 10 participating businesses in the Eat. Shop. Play. magazine and bring the receipts into The Fayette County Record Office. For every $20 spent, shoppers received a punch in our special Eat. Shop. Play. Shop Small punchcard. Once a customer spent $100, their card was turned into The Fayette County Record office for a chance to win a $25, $15, or $10 gift certificate to each of the participating merchants. There will be three winning gift certificates for each participating business – 30 winners in all. The more shoppers spent, the more chances you have to win. These are some of the shoppers who have claimed their prizes.

La Grange ISD is taking nominations for grades 1-11 for the gifted and talented program for the 2025-2026 school year. The gifted and talented program is designed to provide additional challenge and stimulation for academically talented students. Parents, teachers, and community members may nominate students currently enrolled in LGISD to participate in the screening process to determine eligibility for the gifted program. Nomination forms are available in the LGISD Elementary campus office or on the La Grange ISD website under “Gifted and Talented”.
