Senior Connections Welcomes Back Members

After a joyous holiday season filled with family and friends, Senior Connections is thrilled to announce the resumption of its regular schedule, providing active seniors from Schulenburg, Weimar, and Flatonia with a variety of engaging activities, camaraderie, delicious meals, and enriching programs.
A snowman elf dropped by over the holidays to spread some Christmas cheer. Virginia Berry brought gift bags of goodies for the members and sang carols with the help of Alfreda Ellison’s grandaughter, Reygan Hutchson.

Ellinger Water Exceeds Maximum Contaminant Level for Arsenic

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has notified the Ellinger Sewer and WSC, TX0750014, public water system that the drinking water being supplied to customers had exceeded the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for arsenic. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has established the MCL for arsenic to be 0.010 milligrams per liter (mg/L) based on the running annual average (RAA), and has determined that it is a health concern at levels above the MCL.
