St. Peter and Zion Lutheran Church to Host Rev. Susan Briner Sunday

The Rev. Susan J. Briner, Bishop of the ELCA Southwestern Texas Synod, will be guest preacher at communion services on Sunday, April 27 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, West Point (8:45 a.m.) and Zion Lutheran Church, Moulton (10:45 a.m.). These two congregations are partner churches with three other congregations in the shared ministry (TCCM) serving Colorado, Fayette and Lavaca Counties. Pastor Herb Beyer, Lead Pastor for the Tri-County Cooperative Ministries ELCA, will preside at both services. Bishop Briner will also be present at the Moulton congregation’s annual picnic following worship. Fun activities are also planned for youth and adults.

The Texas Ramp Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides free wheelchair ramps to low-income older adults and people with disabilities identified by local health care providers. Three members of the Blinn College livestock judging team have earned All-America honors for the 202425 season. Lane Hogan, Grant Kubala, and Owen Seidenberger were named All-Americans by the Junior College Coaches Association.

Hailey Daugherty, Corey Lyons Married in Muldoon

Corey Carson Lyons and Hailey Lauren Daugherty were married at 10 a.m. March 9, a Sunday morning ceremony at The Wedding Tree at Live Oak Creek Ranch in Muldoon. Their ceremony was officiated by Pastor William Martin of Trinity Reformed Church of Muldoon.
