Orsak Receives Saint Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Award

On Thursday evening, April 10, the Diocese of Victoria Office of Catholic Schools in partnership with local Home & School Associations held their Saint Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Awards at the Shiner Knights of Columbus Hall.

This year St. Rose of Lima Catholic School is proud to recognize Mr. Joe Orsak. As a young teen and newly licensed auctioneer in 1980, he accepted the torch passed along by his father to be auctioneer at St. Rose School’s largest fundraiser, Christmas Around The World.

While this event has evolved over time, he has remained constant, auctioneering for 45 consecutive years, in addition to many years at the St. Rose Parish Picnic and the School Gala.

This award is a small token of appreciation for the hours devoted and for his integral role in the success of fundraisers. Thank you Joe for keeping the crowds at our events engaged, entertained, and bidding.
