Second Chance Donates to DAR, BRIDGE

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $7,500 to the Smith-McMillan Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Monies granted will fund the “Rhapsody of Freedom, An American Revival” performances. Two performances for students will be held on Feb. 11, 2026 and an evening performance for the public will be held on Feb. 12, 2026 at the La Grange High School Performing Arts Theater. The performances will highlight the American Revolution, the Marquis de LaFayette and the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Students of La Grange High School will be an integral part of the production through marketing, set design, drama and music. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $4,950 to Building Resilience Inclusion Diversity and Growth through Education (BRIDGE). Monies donated will be used to fund technology upgrades for the organization. The mission of the group is to bridge the rural gap in education, business, government, community and health (mental/physical), bringing resources and opportunities in the city to the rural areas.
