Numerous Local Burglary Cases Solved

“After many months of investigation and hard work day and night – including the city police, constables and sheriff’s department, we have cleared up 12 burglary cases here in La Grange, one in Schulenburg and one out near Nechanitz,” Fayette County Sheriff T.J. Flournoy reported. Three juveniles and two adults had been arrested. “All of them had been picked up for questioning before, and we knew they were the ones pulling the jobs, but we could not pin it on them until we got this break.” Sheriff Flournoy praised the teamwork of the law enforcement agencies that participated in helping to split the case wide open.

Annual Ellinger Tomato Festival A Success

E Kulhanek Graduates Wesley James Kulhanek of Ellinger, son of Javier and Angela Solis graduated from La Grange High School on Thursday, May 22. Wesley works at Tractor Supply and does yard work outside of school.
The chopped challenge was well attended at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce hall on Saturday evening for the annual Tomato Festival. The weekend was successful and all enjoyed the festivities.

Schulenburg Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek Reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 20-26. Animal Complaint On April 24, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 1200 block of Eilers for a loose white dog in the cemetary.
