Austin County Farmer’s Mutual Fire Insurance Association Notice of Annual Meeting

The governing board of Austin County Farmer’s Mutual Fire Insurance Association, Inc. pursuant to the bylaws, calls an annual meeting of the membership of the Association to be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the home office of the association located at 16836 Fordtran Blvd., Industry, Tx. The membership meeting is called for the purpose of electing commissioners for the auxiliaries whose terms have or will expire within one year from the date of the annual meeting.

AI Data Center Trying to Find a Spot in Rural Fayette County

The Swiss Alp/Ammannsville area continues to be the target of developers. A year after a failed wind turbine project in the area, landowners are now reporting that a company has been contacting landowners in those areas trying to piece together a 500 acre area to build an Artificial Intelligence Data Center.

Title I Meeting at LGISD

The La Grange ISD Annual Title I Meetings will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the La Grange Elementary, located at 315 S. Jackson St., beginning at noon. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the La Grange Elementary PTO Meeting. If you cannot attend on Oct. 7, the meeting information will be presented again on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. in conjunction with the La Grange Middle School Leader In Me Meeting at the La Grange High School Library.

Public Square Rosary Rally Oct. 11 in Fayetteville

A Public Square Rosary Rally will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 12 p.m. on the square. This rally, sponsored by America Needs Fatima, will be one of over 23,000 rallies taking place all across the U.S. that day. They ask for everyone to please join them as they pray for the repentance and conversion of our great nation, asking God to save America through the rosary of His Most Holy Mother.

Flatonia Piles Up the Milestones

On their way to starting district play 2-0 last week, the Flatonia volleyball players also reached some big milestones with Summer Sodek getting her 1,500th assist, Kat Sullivan getting her 1,000th kill and Brynlee Zimmermann getting her 300th dig. The Lady Bulldogs beat Ganado 25-7, 25-12, 25-7 to improve to 17-18 and 2-0 in district. Sullivan had 15 kills. Sodek had 20 assists. They play Tuesday at Weimar.

Groundbreaking Set for New Hostyn Church
