Annual Over 80s Lunch at Holy Cross Lutheran Church

The Ladies at Holy Cross in Warda held their annual Over 80s Lunch last Sunday. A meal of turkey and dressing was served and enjoyed by members 80 years of age or older, as well as members of their Sewing Circle Group.

St. Paul Christmas Program St. Paul Serbin will have a Children’s Christmas Program on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. The students of St. Paul Serbin will also be sharing Christmas cheer and the message of Jesus birth by Christmas caroling: Friday, Dec. 12 at the Giddings Library 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Bec’s Blessing at 9 a.m.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, Dec. 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominos are offered.

Little Free Library 

Be sure and check out the Little Free Library at Holy Cross Church in Warda. It is located under the covered walkway by the fellowship hall. A nice selection of children’s and adults books and puzzles are available.

Antique/Consignment Store 

The Gallaporium, a new antique and consignment store in Warda, held their grand opening in November. The owners are Peggy and Bill Poole. They offer a variety of handmade, unique, and unusual items. The store is located on the side of the Warda Self Storage Facility and they are open Tuesday-Thursday from noon-6 p.m.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Advent Services will be held on December 17 at 11:05 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The Children’s Christmas Program will be presented on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.

Christmas Day Service is Thursday, Dec. 25 at 9 a.m.

The Youth Group will meet on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 11:15 a.m.

The Church Office will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1 for the Christmas Holidays.

Faith Lutheran High School Everyone is invited to join in the Chapel Worship Service held each Wednesday at 11:05 a.m.

The FLHS full athletic schedule of archery and basketball is available on their website, you are encouraged to come and cheer on the Falcons.
