Hallettsville Tribune-Herald • The Hallettsville Police Department will get new technology hardware after the city council approved the purchase. Peacemaker Technologies from New Braunfels was awarded the quote of $40,120 for the mobile data computers.

Christmas in Muldoon has been canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. It had been held on the second Saturday in December. We will all have to wait and see what next year brings if the fun gathering in Muldoon will go on.

As a reminder to customers, the City of La Grange will once again be doing the winter averaging of sewer rates. This will be based on your water consumption used during the months of December, January and February. The city will add the total amount of water consumption used during these months and divide by three. Each customer’s sewer bill will then be calculated on this amount for the next twelve months. Remember, if you have a leak, please repair it quickly, otherwise your sewer bill will be high for twelve months.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Wednesday morning, Nov. 18 around 1 a.m. Deputy Jared Michalec conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford van for failing to stop at the stop sign on St. Highway 71 westbound feeder road at Von Minden St.
