St. James Men’s Club Smokes Turkeys for Family Crisis Center

The Men’s Club at St. James Episcopal Church in La Grange smoked turkeys last Saturday, Nov. 21, and distributed them to 87 families served by the Family Crisis Center in Bastrop.

The Club normally barbecues chicken and sausage for a drive-through fundraiser on the second Saturday of each month. For the past several years, the Club has partnered with the Family Crisis Center during the month of November. Women of the Church baked cookies to go with the turkeys.
