Fayetteville ISD started Thanksgiving break three days early thanks to COVID-19. Dr.

On November 17, 2020, District Commander Dave Walden presented a certificate to Fayette Memorial VFW Post 5254 congratulating the post upon the occasion of its 75th anniversary. The Colorado River boat ramp in La Grange will be closed for the next 18 months, but folks who like to kayak and canoe can now access the river at Northside Park. Workers from the City of La Grange carved a canoe and kayak launch into the river bank last week.

As of Sunday night Fayette County officials were reporting 17 active and 60 probable cases of COVID here. That’s very close to a week ago, when there were 20 active and 56 probable on Sunday Nov.

Second Grade at La Grange Elementary recently held a school-wide Thanksgiving Food Drive. All donations went to the local A.M.E.N.

Flatonia Police worked a trio of unusual cases last week including a stolen U-Haul, a Secret Service investigation and a possible sex trafficking victim. The strange week started on Sunday with a call reporting a suspicious man in a U-Haul truck at the Amigos convenience store, located at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and FM 609.
