KJZT Family Life Society No. 31 Social Held Nov. 6

The 116th Anniversary of St. Frances of Rome, Society No. 31, KJZT Family Life of La Grange took place on Nov. 6, the annual social and meeting was held at 4 p.m. at Sealand Restaurant. President Elizabeth Kallus called the brief meeting to order and led opening prayers and pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags.

Healthy High/Healthy Choices Takes Student Health to New Heights

Healthy High/Healthy Choices (HH/HC) was established in 2003 as part of the Healthy Community Initiative under the Stanzel Family Foundation. The Foundation envisions a community where individuals are inspired to pursue healthy lifestyles through education, accessibility, and impactful programs.

Faldyn Shines in Playoff Opener

Jaxyn Faldyn, Tomball’s quarterback, showed off his dual- threat capabilities during the Cougars’ 56-42 win over Waller in the bi-district round. The senior signal-caller completed 11-of-15 passes for 192 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 80 yards and another score on nine carries. Faldyn has accounted for 31 total touchdowns this season, including 27 passing with just one interception. Jaxyn is the son of LHS grads Brad and Kami Faldyn and the grandson of local residents Janet Anders and Allen and Joyce Faldyn.

RTC Boys, Flatonia Girls Win Hoops Openers

• The Round Top-Carmine boys basketball team won their season opener over Snook Tuesday 47-24. Facundo Cerda scored 17 for RYC, Tre’Veon Fisher scored 14, Cash Robertson eight and William Neese and Kash Wessels four each.
