New Hostyn Church Begins to Take Shape

The steel framework of the new Queen of the Holy Rosary Church at Hostyn was put up this week by Westfall Construction of Houston. In the center, where that large circle is, will be a 10-foot in diameter kaleidoscope window with a central dove high above the altar (one of more than 50 stained glass windows in the new church). The old church was destroyed by an explosion June 9, 2022. This is the first new church built in the entire Diocese of Victoria since Victoria’s Holy Family church was built in 1981 – 45 years ago. Hostyn’s new church is expected to be dedicated next spring.
