Fayette County Opry to Host Its 25th Anniversary Show
Derek Spence will headline this month’s 25th Anniversary of the Fayette County Country Music Opry with a tribute to George Strait on Monday, Feb. 16 at the KC Hall in La Grange. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m..
Derek Spence is an original Texan, (born in Nacogdoches) and earned a degree in Performing Arts Production from South Plains College. He has performed everywhere from Fiesta Texas to the Grand Ole Opry. During his time spent at the Grand Ole Opry, he shared the stage with folks like Shania Twain, Diamond Rio, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, Mark Chesnutt, and Restless Heart.
Derek is renowned for his tribute performances to George Strait. His shows are characterized by an uncanny resemblance to George Strait, not only in appearance but also in vocal delivery and stage presence. Audiences frequently remark that they feel as though they are witnessing the real George Strait in concert.
