Bellville Runs Past Leopards 63-20

Bellville ran for 562 yards and scored on all nine of their possessions as the Brahmas beat La Grange 63-20 Friday night. The loss drops the Leps’ record to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in district as La Grange prepares to host Caldwell this week for homecoming.

School Records Fall at First Swim Meet of Season

The La Grange High School Swim Team kicked off their 2024 season in spectacular fashion, dominating their first meet with an impressive score of 160, besting Brenham and Columbus. The team achieved a remarkable nine first-place finishes, recorded 11 personal bests, and shattered three school records in their season debut.

Flatonia Wins To Stay Tied Atop District

The Flatonia varsity volleyball team swept Ganado Tuesday 25-12, 25-10, 25-13 as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in district, and stayed tied with Weimar for the district lead. Lady Leps Slam Smithville to Improve to 3-3 in District Play

The La Grange volleyball team swept Smithville Tuesday 25-21, 27-25, 25-23 to improve to 11-14 overall and 3-3 in district. Vacek Emerges as a Powerful Force for Lady Horns Volleyball

Schulenburg sophomore Haylee Vacek has had a huge impact for the Lady Horns in her first year on the varsity volleyball team. She is second on the team in kills and digs and led Schulenburg offensively with 19 kills in Saturday’s thrilling come-frombehind win over Flatonia.

LHS Community Pep Rally Oct. 23

The La Grange community homecoming Pep Rally is next Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Leopard Stadium. A new tradition will be started as the senior class members will exchange commemorative towels (sponsored by Fayetteville Bank) with the kindergarten class members at midfield.
