School Records Fall at First Swim Meet of Season

The La Grange High School Swim Team kicked off their 2024 season in spectacular fashion, dominating their first meet with an impressive score of 160, besting Brenham and Columbus.

The team achieved a remarkable nine first-place finishes, recorded 11 personal bests, and shattered three school records in their season debut.

Breaking Records

Eleanor Carey stole the spotlight, setting a new school record in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.53. Adysen Janacek followed suit, breaking the 200 yards freestyle record with an incredible 2:22.07. The relay team of Adysen Janacek, Celeine Fabre, Paige Michalke, and Eleanor Carey also etched their names into the record books, clocking in at 1:57.92 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The team’s next meet is scheduled for November 6, 2024 in San Antonio, and will be eagerly anticipated, as both swimmers and supporters look forward to more victories and record-breaking performances.
