Schulenburg sophomore Haylee Vacek has had a huge impact for the Lady Horns in her first year on the varsity volleyball team. She is second on the team in kills and digs and led Schulenburg offensively with 19 kills in Saturday’s thrilling come-frombehind win over Flatonia.

“She’s done a tremendous job stepping in as a sophomore,” said Schulenburg volleyball coach Donald Zapalac. “She’s had 15 or more kills in every one of her first four district matches.”

We’re proud to honor Vacek as our Fayette County Athlete of the Week.
