• The Fayetteville volleyball team defeated Calvert Tuesday 25-12, 25-16, 25-18 as the Lady Lions improved their overall record to 6-4. Kayme Schley led Fayetteville in kills with eight and Lainey Gromaski and Payton Jurecka each had four.

The La Grange varsity volleyball team won its fourth match in a row Tuesday, traveling to Bastrop and defeating the Lady Bears 16-25, 25-16, 25-17, 26-24. The Lady Leps overall record is now 4-6 and they play at the Bastrop Tournament this weekend.

Round Top-Carmine senior volleyball player Kaysie Ward has put her upperclassman leadership on display to help the Cubettes back up their TGCApreseason ranking of fifth in Class 1A. Ward notched 10 kills in a game vs.

The Schulenburg football team hosted a scrimmage Thursday against Lexington. “Lexington is amazing, but we battled,” said first-year Schulenburg head coach Luke Hobbs.

La Grange After starting the season with six consecutive losses, the La Grange volleyball team is suddenly on a three match win streak. The Lady Leps swept past Fort Bend Bush 25-10, 25-13 Friday before downing Iowa Colony 25-21, 25-16 and Edna 25-21, 25-16 Saturday to close out the Columbus Tournament.

With a host of new coaches – and a new playbook – the La Grange football team is a work-in-progress. But the new-look Leps showed off plenty to be excited about Thursday in the team’s first scrimmage of 2023.
