Janecek Runs for 4 TDs to Lead Shorthorns to Streak-Snapping Win
The Schulenburg football team snapped a 13-game losing streak that dated back to 2021 – and they did it against a team that went 13-1 last season.
The Shorthorns beat Burton 35-21 Friday for new head coach Luke Hobbs’ first victory at the school.
Shorthorn quarterback Aaron Janecek ran for 148 yards and four touchdowns and John Davis also added a score for Schulenburg which improved to 1-2 with the win.
Burton fell to 1-2 with the loss.
The Schulenburg defense limited the Panthers to just 195 total yards.
The Shorthorns host Poth (2-1) this week. Poth is coming off a 31-7 win over Shiner.
