La Grange Rolls
The La Grange varsity volleyball team is heading into district with some momentum.
The Lady Leps defeated visiting Thorndale Friday 25-17, 25-12, 23-25, 25-19 to improve their record to 12-18 overall. District play begins for the Lady Leps Tuesday at home against Smithville. The varsity match will begin about 6 p.m.
In Friday’s victory La Grange was led offensively by Carley Ulrich, who had nine kills and Kylie Trlicek, who had five.
Haylie Cooper led in digs with 18 and Trlicek had 11.
In aces, Trlicek led with five and Jena Jobb had four.
Phoebe Tucker led in assists with 17 and Trlicek had 10.
Cara Homer led in blocks with three and Ulrich had two.
The La Grange JV also defeated Thorndale Friday 25-17, 25-16 to improve to 7-5 overall.
The La Grange freshman defeated Thorndale 25-13, 2510 to improve to 5-7 overall.
Lady Horns Beat
RT-C in 5 Sets
The Schulenburg volleyball team went to Carmine Friday and beat the Cubettes 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 21-25, 15-10.
The Lady Horns improved to 18-12 with the win, while RT-C fall to 16-7 with the loss.
Jessalyn Gipson had 20 kills to lead the Lady Horns. Emmrie Marx had 19 and Meredith Magliolo had 15. Reagan Dusek had seven and Brooke Redding had four.
Keaton Walker and Landry Zapalac each had three aces.
Magliolo had eight blocks and Zapalac had six.
KierynAdams had 30 digs and Zapalac had seven.
Zapalac had 59 assists.

The Fayetteville volleyball team lost to Burton Friday 25-22, 25-9, 25-22 as the Lady Lions fell to 10-17 this season.
Tara Vitek and Kayme Schley led Fayetteville in kills with six each. Cambree Denham had three blocks and Peyton Jurecka had two.
Emily Keilers had 14 digs, Marissa Rohde had 12 and Schley had 11.
Rohde had 15 assists.
