Vela Wins First Football Prize of Season

For the first time this season we have a winner in our reader pick-it contest as Jason Vela correctly navigated a weekend of upsets to win the $300 prize. Several people were eliminated by the Schulenburg and UT wins and the Texas A&M loss. We will try to get a picture of Vela getting his prize money from Alpha One to run in Friday’s edition. Meanwhile, our prize goes back to $100 this week. Remember: no photo copies, get it to us by Friday at 5 p.m. and you can enter as many times as you like. Good luck!
