Carolyn Ann Roe, 76, of Ellinger, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020.

Famed country music singer Charley Pride died Saturday in hospice care in Dallas of complications from COVID-19. He was 86. He performed at the Fayette County Fair in 2016, drawing one of the largest crowds in fair history. The photo above is from his performance here in La Grange.

Funeral services for Bernell Teinert, 88 of Giddings, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda with Rev. Dustin Beck officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Funeral services for Susie Proske, 87, of Giddings, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
