Albert Derwood Schulle, 62, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Derwood was born in Houston on Jan. 12, 1958 to Alfred Albert and Dana Louise (Batson) Schulle. He attended Sam Houston High School and was a class of ‘76 alumni. Born into the family business, he began laying hardwood floors at a young age and carried on the tradition throughout his life. Over the past 20 years he made a home on his ranch in Fayetteville where he loved spending his free time working on many projects, tending to the land and his animals. He will lovingly be remembered by his daughters for his pride in his family, home and work, his unwavering kindness to others, his infectious smile and contagious laughter. He never met a stranger and would do anything for his family, friends, and community. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and collector of vintage automobiles. He loved his Dr. Pepper, Cocoa Krispies, and Marlboro cigarettes.

He is survived by his four daughters, Therese Stokes and husband, Josh of Taylor; Dawn Parsons and husband, Matt of Odessa, Mo.; Ava Schulle and Cloe Schulle of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jalen, Deacon, Zavier and Jaxon Stokes, Cadence Briggs and Lexi Parsons; long-time companion, Joan Hoffmann of Fayetteville, and her children: Brandi and Allyson Hoffmann; siblings, Freda Nancy Theriot and husband Raymond of Splendora; Alfred Schulle of Houston; and Berney Schulle of Houston.
