Melissa Renee (Muesse) Hahn, 48, of Fayetteville was called home to be with God on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.

Melissa was born in Houston, on Feb. 21, 1972, the daughter of Abraham and Barbara (Beseda) Muesse.

Melissa was a student of Fayetteville ISD from grade school through graduation. She was later employed by her alma mater for 21 amazing years. She served as the Event Coordinator for the district, was the sponsor of the National Honor Society and Student Council, along with working in the library and book cafe. She was blessed to watch her son, nephew, and grandson walk the same halls as she did, and could always be spotted at any Lion event cheering, “Go Lions!”

Her short life was filled with memories she left behind for her son, nephew, and grandsons to cherish forever. She loved to duck hunt, enjoyed a love for horses, spending time at Boca Chica, and especially enjoying family vacations with her boys. She was a woman with strong faith that never waivered.

She is survived by her beloved son, Corbin Hahn. She was a loving “Nana” to her two grandsons, Hunter and Cade Hahn. She is also survived by her parents, Abraham and Barbara “Barb” Muesse; sisters, Rachael Beseda and Sheila Muesse; nephew, Lyle Muesse; and beloved spiritual mentor, Michelle Bertsch.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Bill and Lydia Beseda, Elo and Kristina Muesse; nephew, Guy Fritsch.

The love, faith, and generosity of her extended family of Fayetteville ISD will never be forgotten. Once a lion, always a lion. Be Brave, Be Strong.

In an abundance of caution due to the recent COVID-19 operating procedures, the funeral home will be following the recommendations of the Governor and County Judge. Face masks must be worn in the church and social distancing up to six feet apart must be observed.
