George Brandt III was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at the age of 85. George was born on July 26, 1940, in Holman to George and Gertrude (Trefny) Brandt. From his lifelong home in Holman, he could see the homes of his father and grandfather and fulfilled their legacy, one of hard work and service. This legacy is now passed to his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

John Carroll Ferguson, 74 of Houston passed away at his home in La Grange on Oct. 31, 2025.

Dorothy Mensik, 93, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died peacefully at home on Nov. 3, 2025.

Joseph John Tanecka was born on June 29, 1933 in Kirtley to John and Wilma Krenek Tanecka. He went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Oct. 30, 2025 at 5:36 a.m. at his home with his wife Rose Marie Tanecka at Buchanan Dam.

A memorial service for Laura Ann Oeser is scheduled for Nov. 5, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m.

Doris (Killingsworth) Mathews was called home by the Lord just one week shy of her 92nd birthday on Oct. 21, 2025 in La Grange, after a long, loving, and altruistic life devoted to her family, friends, and her community. Doris was born in Longview on Oct. 28, 1933 to Thomas Boyd Killingsworth and Clyda Heitt Killingsworth.

Virginia Margaret Weigelt, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, in Houston.
