Knobelsdorf
Martha Ann Knobelsdorf was called home by the Lord on Dec. 10, 2025. Born on Aug. 7, 1934, in Austin, Martha was preceded in death by her grandparents Ralph and Anna Cloud and husband William Knobelsdorf.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Knobelsdorf, Claire Knobelsdorf Land and son, James Knobelsdorf and wife, Zhipei Wu; grandchildren, Eloise Steele, Elaine Land, William Land and Jacquelyn Knobelsdorf and great grandchildren, William, Aerynn, Teagan, Robert, and Riley.
She was a cherished educator, legal assistant, devout Christian, and friend. Her education included a BA in education at University of Houston, and a MS in Education from Texas A&M University, as well as graduating as a paralegal. After teaching for over 30 years in Houston, Bellville, and Aldine schools, she spent 15 years as a certified paralegal working in Brenham and for the City of Houston, being named Paralegal of the Year in 2003.
Martha was a founding member of West End Baptist Church and led Vacation Bible School for many years. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years and sewed care quilts for her church to share. She also was a proud volunteer officiating local elections.
She passed away peacefully in Shelby of natural causes, leaving behind a tapestry of lives she touched with her kindness, her wisdom, and her faith.
As we celebrate Martha Knobelsdorf’s remarkable life, we are reminded of the profound difference one person can make when they live a life devoted to love, learning, and service to the Lord.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. at West End Baptist Church, 7577 Ernst Pkwy, Industry, with the family present at this time to receive friends.
Funeral services will be held at West End Baptist Church on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. with a reception to be held in the hall after funeral service.
A private graveside service will follow the church service.
Pallbearers are William Land, William Kendall, Josh Steele, Glen Croasmun, Kevin Strait, Cedric Mahon and Charlie Perry. Honorary pallbearers, Robert Blakely Quinn, Toby Schilhab.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, West End Baptist Church of Industry, or to a charity of one’s choice.
