La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 19-25.

There will be a rousing Polka Praise service and their annual “Chicken Fry” fundraiser at the Round Top Rifle Hall on Sunday, Oct. 10. The event is hosted by Bethlehem Lutheran (Round Top.) The Polka Praise service, consisting of musicians from both BLC and Martin Luther Lutheran, will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held under the pavilion in front of the Hall (weather permitting), and the chicken fry dinner with all the trimmings will begin at 11a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Round Top Mercantile, as well as the church office (979) 249- 3686, for $12 each.

The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, Sept. 13 in the Msgr.

Baseball is back at the SPJST ballfield. The field is complete and ready for baseball. The first weekend of the high school fall league kicked off Sept. 18. As of this writing, the baseball schedule has not been finalized.

St. Mark’s Medical Center (SMMC) recognizes the efforts of their environmental services (EVS) team as part of the recent National Environmental Services Week.
