Arrests Made During Family Violence Reports
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 19-25.
Family Violence
On Sept. 21, Patrolman Justin Koehne arrested a subject on family violence charges in the 200 block of S. College.
On Sept. 25, Wostarek responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson and arrested a subject on family violence charges.
Assault
On Sept. 19, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of an assault in the 500 block of N. Jefferson.
Accident
On Sept. 21, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Travis for an accident.
On Sept. 21, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 2500 block of N. Von Minden for an accident. Officer provided a blue form.
On Sept. 25, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
Citizen Assist
On Sept. 21, Meinardus assisted an individual that advised she was nervous to drive at night and was unfamiliar with the area. Officer had her follow him to a nearby hotel and made sure she made it safely.
On Sept. 24, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of Hanacek where caller stated that subjects in the park were locked in when the officer closed the park. Officer Wostarek arrived and let them out.
On Sept. 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a citizen assist.
Disturbance
On Sept. 21, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Reynolds in regard to a disturbance.
On Sept. 21, Wostarek was dispatched to a disturbance in the 500 block of W. Lowerline. Upon arrival officer spoke with both subjects. The subjects were separated for the night.
On Sept. 22, Mohr received a call of two subjects fighting in the 600 block of N. Jefferson. Upon arriving one subject had left the scene
On Sept. 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Lafayette in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with both subjects. Subjects were separated after speaking with officer.
Driving While Intoxicated
On Sept. 25, Meinardus was dispatched to an accident in which a vehicle had struck a parked car in the 900 block of N. Horton. Officer performed a field sobriety test and subject was arrested.
Harassment
On Sept. 20, Maxwell responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline and spoke with a subject in regard to harassment.
On Sept. 25, Maxwell spoke to a subject in the 200 block of S. Washington in regard to harassment.
Reckless Driving
On Sept. 22, Mohr received a call of a vehicle that ran another vehicle off the road in the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Bus.
On Sept. 22, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for road rage. Officer spoke with both subjects.
On Sept. 24, Meinarus responded to the 400 block of E. Pecan where caller stated that a subject ran his vehicle into his yard and then left and pulled into a driveway down the road. Officer located the vehicle matching the description and made contact with the subject. Subject was arrested for public intoxication.
On Sept. 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin in regard to a truck that was driving at a high rate of speed. Officer arrived and searched the area. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On Sept. 22, Meinardus was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Guadalupe for a white truck that was circling the area and stopping near complainant’s residence. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
On Sept. 22, Mohr received a call of a subject sleeping on a bench in the 100 block of N. Washington.
On Sept. 23, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Washington where caller heard voices outside of her window. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
On Sept. 29, Meinardus was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis where caller stated that two subjects attempted to enter the building but the door was locked and they were afraid to exit the building. Office arrived and searched the area and did not locate anyone.
Theft
On Sept. 21, Maxwell spoke with caller in regard to a part from a vehicle being stolen in the 100 block of Walnut.
On Sept. 23, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe for an attempted theft.
Terroristic Threat
On Sept. 20, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of Koenig where complainant stated that a subject threatened to get a gun and kill them. Officer arrested the subject for a terroristic threat.
Welfare Check
On Sept. 20, Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Bypass feeder in regard to a welfare check.
On Sept. 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a welfare check.
