The Lincoln & Continental Owner’s Club (LCOC) will be coming to La Grange for the 1st time to celebrate the 32nd Annual all Texas Regional Spring meet on April 8-10. A Little History The national, Lincoln & Continental Owner’s Club (LCOC) was formed in 1953 by former Ford Motor Company employees and enthusiasts in Michigan, to recognize and preserve the historically classic 1940-1948 Continentals.

After three years of planning and rescheduling Round Top Festival Institute is in high gear for its first-ever spring fundraiser, billed as the Festival Hill Gala - Prelude to the Next Fifty. Katrina and Mark Elvig are serving as co-chairs for this event, with auction chairs Joan Herring and Leslie Penello, Festival Hill’s Gala Coordinator Pat Johnson and a host of enthusiastic planning committee members. The magical evening is orchestrated for Saturday, April 9, 6 p.m., under a big tent on the grounds of the Institute. The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, March 7, in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Parish Center. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the standard reports by the secretary, treasurer and assistant treasurer. Thirteen ladies attended the meeting.

Fayette County Commissioners signed a proclamation designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The proclamation stated there were 175 cases of child abuse reported in Fayette County in 2021, and investigations revealed 59 child victims of abuse last year. My name is Ken Taylor and I am running for La Grange City Council, Ward 2. My wife, Debbie and I have lived in La Grange since 1978 and raised our boys here. I retired as Generation Manager for LCRA in 2011 after 33 years of service. After my retirement I volunteered my time and experience to the construction of the new La Grange ISD stadium bleacher upgrade. I also gave my time to managing the construction of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church atrium.
