La Grange Police Respond to Burglary
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of on March 13-20.
Burglary
On March 15, Keeney was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Monroe in regard to a burglary in progress.
Agency Assist
On March 16, Officer Thomas Keeney assisted with a vehicle search in the 2400 block of W. State Hwy 71 business.
Animal Complaint
On March 16, Animal control Officer Dean Ahlschlager put a dog back in the yard in the 100 block of S. Vail. Owners advised they would take care of it.
Alarm
On March 14, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 500 block of S. Madison for an alarm going off. Building was secure and no answer from key holder.
On March 14, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 400 block of S. Jefferson for an alarm. Officer arrived and made contact with the manager who advised they are having problems with the alarm that will not reset.
On March 14, Keeney was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 for an alarm. Officer found the building secure.
On March 16, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to an alarm. Found the building to be secure.
On March 18, Keeney was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an alarm. The building was secure.
Accident
On March 14, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident in the parking lot.
On March 14, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of Northpointe for a one-vehicle accident.
On March 16, Officer David Mohr received a call of a twovehicle accident in the 100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
On March 19, Currington was dispatched to the 1500 block of N. Jefferson parking lot for an accident. Issued blue form.
On March 19, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Travis for an accident. No injuries.
Citizen Assist
On March 14, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Charles for possible fraud. Officer made contact with subject and was not fraud.
Criminal Mischief
On March 15, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Ln. for criminal mischief to a vehicle.
On March 18, Currington was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail for criminal mischief.
Driving While Intoxicated
On March 18, Keeney received a cal of a possible reckless driver in the 400 block of S. Ellinger. Vehicle was located and an arrest was made.
Disturbance
On March 14, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of S. Madison for a disturbance.
On March 14, Keeney received a call of a disturbance in the 1000 block of N. Sunset.
On March 15, Keeney was dispatched to the 200 block of Northwest Circle for a woman yelling at another woman.
On March 17, Mohr received a call of several people cussing at each other in the 900 block of E. Guadalupe.
On March 19, Keeney responded to the 900 block of S. Washington for a disturbance. Officer found no signs of a disturbance.
Harassment
On March 14, Keeney received a call regarding harassment in the 800 block of N. Monroe.
On March 15, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 700 block of N. Rosenberg for a posting on Facebook.
Loud Music
On March 19, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger for loud music.
Public Intoxication
On March 16, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to an assault in progress. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. Subjects stated it was only verbal. Subject was arrested for public intoxication.
On March 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to an intoxicated male subject. Officer arrived on location and searched the area. Officer was unable to locate the male subject.
Parking Violation
On March 16, Keeney responded to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a vehicle parked in a marked fire lane. A citation was issued.
Reckless Driving
On March 14, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regards to a speeding vehicle in the 900 block of E. Roitsch.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On March 13, Mohr received a call of a vehicle parked in front of a driveway in the 2800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Bypass. Officer arrived and found the vehicle to be unoccupied and advised the landowner he could have it towed.
On March 14, Keeney stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of S. Main for driving in a suspicious manner.
On March 14, Wostarek observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Hwy. 159. Officer spoke with the subject who stated they were getting boxes because they were in the process of moving.
On March 17, Wosarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Franklin in regard to a male subject trying to get into a vehicle. Officer arrived and spoke to the male subject. The subjects’ keys were locked in the vehicle and that he was trying to unlock the vehicle.
On March 18, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a customer that was looking at an employee in a strange way. Customer left prior to officers’ arrival.
On March 19, Keeney investigated a parked car in the 400 block of Hope.
On March 18, Wostarek checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of N. Jefferson. Subjects stated that they were resting and were fine.
On March 18, Wostarek checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of S. Jefferson. Subject advised he was resting.
Speeding Vehicle
On March 15, Chief David Gilbreath spoke to complainant about speeding vehicle on Svoboda Ln. and requested speed enforced.
Scam
On March 15, Currington made contact with a subject for possible scam attempt in the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass.
Trespassing
On March 15, Currington ws dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson for trespass. Subject was issue a criminal trespass warning.
Theft
On March 15, Emmons responded to the 1000 block of Hwy.159 for employee theft.
