April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Fayette County Commissioners signed a proclamation designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The proclamation stated there were 175 cases of child abuse reported in Fayette County in 2021, and investigations revealed 59 child victims of abuse last year. On hand for the signing were Mary Fox and Jacelyn Perez of the Children’s Advocacy Center.
