Ken Taylor Running for LG City Council
My name is Ken Taylor and I am running for La Grange City Council, Ward 2. My wife, Debbie and I have lived in La Grange since 1978 and raised our boys here. I retired as Generation Manager for LCRA in 2011 after 33 years of service. After my retirement I volunteered my time and experience to the construction of the new La Grange ISD stadium bleacher upgrade. I also gave my time to managing the construction of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church atrium.
My desire to help people with cancer has led me to be active with the American Cancer Society and the Road to Recovery Program; driving many cancer patients for treatment. I have worked numerous years with Relay For Life.
I served the La Grange City Council from 2017-2021. I elected to run again because I believe the City is and will continue to experience changes because of the influx of new people and growth moving into our area.
• I will support improvements to city drainage system.
• I will promote a better working relationship with existing local businesses, while encouraging new business to come to our city.
• I will promote the review of city business practices.
• Open to all constituents concerns.
• Due diligence on council meeting agenda items; and ask the hard questions.
I would appreciate your vote on May 7 so that I may work to keep La Grange a great place to live. Thank you.
