The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corporation held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 14 at the Ellinger Fire Station. Roy Moore, vice president, called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Moore and Mike Schlabach were in attendance, but Bradley Dunk and Paula Urban were present via a conference call, so a quorum was met.

Numerous Fayette County 4-H members competed in the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest on Thursday, Feb. 10.

On Feb. 5, 188 child care providers from more than 17 surrounding cities registered to attend the Multi-County Child Care Conference sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. The event was held at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange, and was hosted by Austin, Fayette, and Washington Counties.
