Winedale’s upcoming quilt show, “Connecting Threads: New Acquisitions in the Winedale Quilt Collection,” will be open the weekends of Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 25-27. In this exhibition, five new acquisitions engage in conversation with previously acquired pieces from the Winedale Quilt Collection. Travelers be advised that the local Texas Dept of Transportation will be making a change to the signage at the intersection of SH 237 and SP 458 in Carmine to enhance the safety of this intersection. Northbound traffic on SH 237 turning left onto Spur 458 headed towards Carmine will now encounter a new Stop sign. In addition, a stop bar will be painted on the pavement to enhance the stop condition. The current Yield sign will be permanently removed and replaced with a Stop condition.

A private applicators license is required by the state, to purchase restricted use pesticides. To obtain a license, it is mandatory to attend a pesticide applicator training and past a 100-question test. This course will teach participants proper procedures for applying pesticides. This is the training only. Testing procedures will be explained during the training.
