Langes To Celebrate 70th Anniversary

On June 28 Homer and Maurene Lange of Oldenburg will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. “I don’t know where the 70 years have gone to,” said Homer, who is 89.

CASA Community Continues to Grow

CASA of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kirstin Simon (left) and Julie Thomas (right) as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) by Judge Benton Eskew (center) on May 24. CASA of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties endeavors to provide trained volunteer advocates in all abuse and neglect foster care cases assigned by the courts. CASA Volunteers are screened and highly trained and then appointed by Judges to represent and advocate for a child’s best interest in the child protection system.
