County Seeks Bids For Harvey Buyouts

It has taken five years, but Fayette County officials might be close to cleaning up the homes on Country Club Drive that flooded in Hurricane Harvey. Last week Commissioners Court took a step toward demolishing the houses around Frisch Auf Country Club.

Moreau Cited for Second Election Violation

La Grange Police issued Fayette County Judge Candidate Craig Moreau a citation for another election violation last week. La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said his department ticketed Moreau last Thursday for unlawful presence of a candidate at a polling place, a class C misdemeanor.
