Fashion Fling Returns to Round Top to Benefit Hospice Brazos Valley

After a two-year haitus because of COVID, the Fashion Fling benefitting Hospice Brazos Valley returned Saturday to Round Top, this time in a new venue, The Compound. Donors buy tables and they decorate them very lavishly to enjoy a catered lunch with their friends. The event culminates with a fashion show in which local models showcase resale purchases from either Second Chance Emporium in La Grange or the Brenham Hospice Boutique resale shop. After each model was announced their clothes were described and then the total cost of the clothes was announced, with each outfit costing usually just a few dollars. The finale was Nicole Woods (granddaughter of co-chair Grace Fruge) wearing a second hand wedding dress that cost $15. Photos by Jeff Wick
