Locals Use Their Skills To Make Charity Quilts

Twice a year, the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild makes a day of putting their skills, time and creativity together to form beautiful lap quilts. These quilts are then donated to nursing homes in Columbus, La Grange, Weimar, Flatonia and Schulenburg. Most of the fabric is donated to the Guild throughout the year. In 2021, 110 lap quilts were donated and the Guild anticipates exceeding that number this year with over 122 quilts.
