Body Found in LG Identified as Brittany Low

The woman found dead at the end of Lowerline St. in La Grange on Sunday, July 31, was Brittany Low, a 34-year-old woman who had gone missingseveral days before.La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said a City of La Grange worker discovered herbody at the City sewer plant Sunday morning. Gilbreath said he believes Low’s death was an accident. Thebody was sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

Gilbreath said she appeared to have been deceased for at least a day when they found her.

Low lived in Country Way Village, located along Lowerline St. near the Colorado River. Low’s roommate reported her missing to police on Friday, July29. The roommate told police he had not seen her since the previous morning.

La Grange Police began searching for her on Friday. Gilbreath said a Texas Game warden searched the Colorado River for five miles downstream. Private citizens aided in the search of the property between Country Way Village and theRiver. Sadly, those efforts were not successful.

While the search was underway, members of Low’s family wrote on Facebook that she may have been suffering a mental health crisis.

Gilbreath said Low moved from Pearland to La Grange about a month ago. Her family lives out of state, he said.
