    LGPD Responds to Vehicle Burglary

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 17-24.

Animal Complaint

On July 19, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson for dog in a vehicle. Owner had windows cracked and was checking on it frequently.

On July 19, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on bees in the 100 block of E. Fannin and called the bee man.

Accident

On July 18, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. state Hwy. 71 bypass for a onevehicle accident with no injuries.

On July 21, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. state Hwy. 71 business in regard to an accident in the parking lot. Officer issued a blue form to the driver.

Burglary of a Vehicle

On July 21, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to a burglary of a vehicle.

Citizen Assist

On July 18, Officer Thomas Keeney spoke with complainant at the police station about employees working at the job sight overnight.

On July 19, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1600 block of Jefferson.

On July 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 for a citizen assist.

On July 22, Keeney responded to the 800 block of N. Franklin in response to a report of low hanging utility lines.

On July 23, Chief David Gilbreath responded to the 200 block of E. Eblin for a TV lying in the road. The TV was removed.

Disturbance

On July 18, Keeney responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in response to a person causing a disturbance.

On July 18, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of W. Eblin for a disturbance.

On July 22, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 100 block of E. Crockett for a verbal disturbance between a male and female.

On July 22, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Ln. in regards to a family disturbance.

On July 23, Keeney spoke to complainant in the 1000 block of N. Madison about a tenant being disruptive.

On July 23, Keeney responded to the 700 block of N. Washington in response to a disturbance.

Fraud

On July 18, Keeney spoke with complainant in the 200 block of W. Fannin about possible fraud.

On July 19, Meinardus spoke with caller about fraud with her bank account.

Gunshots

On July 23, Meinardus responded to the 10 block of Bluffview where a complainant reported hearing a possible gunshot and wanted an officer to check the area. Officer upon arrival did not locate anything suspicious.

Public Intoxication

On July 19, Keeney responded to the 2200 block of Hwy. 71 Business for a man lying on the patio.

Reckless Driving

On July 18, Keeney spoke with complainant in the 200 block of E. Pearl for a reckless driver.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On July 17, Officer Justin Koehne checked on a suspicious person in the 400 block of N. Jefferson.

On July 22, Keeney responded to the 500 block of N. Main in response to a suspicious vehicle.

Scam

On July 17, Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 800 block of E. Milan about a scam.

Theft

On July 20, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson in regards to theft.

Warrant Arrest

On July 20, Wostarek arrested a subject in the 800 block of E. Travis on an outstanding felony warrant.

On July 22, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main for a subject with misdemeanor warrant. Subject arrested and transported without incident.

Welfare Check

On July 22, Emmons responded to the 700 block of Eckel for a man riding a zero turn lawn mower in the street.

On July 23, Gilbreath responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison for a vehicle left partially in the road and a subject beating on doors and walls at his apartment.

Miscellaneous

On July 19, Keeney responded to the 100 block of Joy for identity theft report.

On July 19, Currington responded to the 700 block of S. Jefferson for a 911/hang up open line. Officer arrived and it was called by mistake.

On July 20, Wostarek responded to the 200 block of N. Madison in regards to a noise complaint. Officer arrived on location and spoke with subject. The subject turned down the music after speaking with the officer.

On July 23, Gilbreath responded to the 200 block of Svoboda Lane for a vehicle left partially in the roadway. Vehicle had broken down according to the owner.

On July 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of Rose Mayer in regards to people yelling.
