The Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10 until 11 a.m. Food distribution will be walk up method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables as the clients walk-thru the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags and boxes. A few wagons will be furnished by CTFB, but if the client has their own wagon, please bring it.

LGISD Western Art Winners

These LGISD student works won local awards and have advanced on to compete in Houston for the next round of judging in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Western Art Competition. They will be on display at the Hayloft Gallery at NRG Park for the duration of the 2023 Houston Livestock Show.

A Matter of Balance Series Begins March 12

The “A Matter of Balance” (AMoB) series is co-partnered by the Blinn College in Schulenburg, Fayette County Committee on Aging, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Fayette County will be held starting Tuesday, March 7, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Flatonia Civic Center meeting room. AMoB is a series of 8 two-hour sessions and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 6 at the Blinn College, 100 Ranger Dr., Room 120 in Schulenburg.
