Amber Canik of Fayetteville was named to the President’s List from the College of Health, Community, and Policy at the University of Texas in San Antonio. This award is for outstanding academic achievement for the Fall 2022 semester. Students named to the President’s List maintain a 4.0 GPA while enrolled in at least 12 semester hours. Canik is majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Physical Education and a minor in Mathematics.

Julia Patterson, a 2020 graduate of Round Top - Carmine High School and a Political Science major at Texas A&M University, recently began a spring 2023 internship in Austin, Texas. Julia will spend the spring as an integral part of the Office of State Senator Lois Kolkhorst and the Senate Health & Human Services Committee.
