The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is alive and active with numerous activities ongoing. The Tuesday Ladies’ Bible Study is very well attended and begins at 10 a.m. Area ladies are invited to come and join in the learning.

LHS One Act Play to Put on Trio of Town Performances

La Grange High School One-Act Play wrapped up their successful 2026-2027 competition season with the production of “Hansel and Gretel: The Little Brother and the Little Sister” by Max Bush, and are proud to showcase their hard work and talent to the community on Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 9 at noon and 7 p.m. at the LGISD Performing Arts Center located at 656 E. Travis Street.

La Grange Man Dies In Horrific Workplace Accident

A La Grange family is left seeking answers after a man died in a horrific workplace accident during an overnight shift Friday night at Darling Ingredients in Bastrop. Antony DeWayne Cada, 59, of La Grange, was crushed beyond recognition by equipment at the facility, said his wife Anissa Cada, also of La Grange.
The Darling Ingredients Plant in Bastrop was the site of Friday’s fatal incident.

McHazlett Updates Board on Enrollment, Attendance

La Grange ISD Superintendent Andy McHazlett gave a current update on student enrollment and attendance at last Monday night’s meeting. The current enrollment for LGISD is 1,822 students. The per campus breakdown follows: elementary school – 936, middle school – 291, and high school – 595. The average daily attendance (ADA) is 1,724.24 which is 95.51%.
