Adult Tech Training
Join for Adult Technology Training at the Fayette Public Library in La Grange on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. Community Prayer
Everyone is invited to the monthly Community Prayer Gathering, an area wide multichurch sponsored event, meeting the first Sunday of each month at Redimidos Por Cristo Church is located across the street from Tejas Healthcare at 131 S. College St. in La Grange beginning at 5 p.m. Please join us as we pray for our local community, our nation and our world.
There’s more The unveiling and dedication of a Texas Historical Marker at the Long Life Brotherhood Club/Matson Park located at 12419 East Branch St. in Burton will be held Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. hosted by Long Life Brotherhood Club and the Washington County Historical Commission.
Hermann Sons Rutersville
Hermann Sons Rutersville will hold their May meeting on Wednesday, May 6 beginning at 7 p.m. at the lodge hall. The meal’s main dish will be hamburgers. Please bring your favorite sides and desserts to share.
American Legion Quade-Werchan
The next meetings of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 and Auxiliary will be held on Thursday, May 7 at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Highway 237 in Round Top beginning at 6:30 p.m. All veterans in the Round Top-Carmine, Winedale, Warrenton, Ledbetter, Waldeck, and Ruttersville area are encouraged to join Post No. 338 and share in fellowship with others who have served our nation.
Fayetteville/Ellinger KC Shrimp Boil
The Fayetteville/Ellinger Knights of Columbus Council No. 3168 are holding their 26th Annual Shrimp Boil on Friday, May 15 under the pavilion at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 E. Bell St. in Fayetteville. Happy Hour runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Food will be served at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy shrimp and all the fixings provided by Cajun Country Cokers, ice cold beer, live music featuring the Airplane Band, a card gun raffle and a silent auction.
