This weekend, Arts for Rural Texas will host the 19th annual ArtWalk Art and Music Festival on Fayetteville’s historic courthouse square. The event opens to the public on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Sunday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event showcases artwork by artists from across the nation. Participants will offer their works in various media including oil paint, acrylic, pastel, photography, pottery, jewelry, ceramics, mosaics, assemblage and more. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas No. 1962 held their monthly meeting on Monday, March 27. Regent Shirley Antosh opened the meeting with a prayer followed by the CDA Opening Ode and pledges. The charter was draped during the meeting in honor of our deceased member, Loretta Brugger, who passed away on March 27, at the age of 82. She was a member for 48 years.
