Bluebonnet Offices Closed Nov.23-24

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of Thanksgiving. Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments while the offices are closed through the co-op’s website at bluebonnet.coop, MyBluebonnet mobile app or calling (800) 842-7708.

Master Naturalist Training Class Registration Is Open

Registration is now open for the Gideon Lincecum Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists’ 2024 training class for new Master Naturalists. The Texas Master Naturalist Program’s mission is to develop a corps of well informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas.

Shelter Encourages Local Spay/Neuter Voucher Program

As of Nov. 10, total intake or the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1461: 672 dogs and 789 cats in need. As of Nov. 10, the shelter has 115 animals in care: 53 dogs/62 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.
